The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has announced a marginal increase in fuel prices in Zimbabwe dollar terms and down in United States dollar terms.
The price adjustments are with effective from September 5.
The price of petrol has gone up by ZW$4.78 per litre to ZW$97.93 and down in US dollars by 10 cents to US$1.18 per litre.
And diesel up by ZWL$3 per litre to ZW$86.38 and down in US dollars by 5 cents to US$1.04.
Although fuel companies – like all other businesses in the country – are statutorily required to dual price their product, ZWL-denominated fuel remains a rare commodity.
But the US dollar fuel has increased availability of the commodity, with long fuel queues disappearing across the country.
