Movement for Democratic Change-Alliance (MDC-Alliance) vice president who was once Zimbabwe’s Minister of Finance, Tendai Biti says there is a pandemic which is milking the country dry, amid rising poverty among citizens.
“Zimbabwe is facing a “pandemic of corruption” which is now a “huge threat to the existence of the country as a nation state,” former finance minister and MDC Alliance vice president Tendai Biti said on Sunday.
Businessman and alleged land baron Kenneth Raydon Sharpe who is currently based in Ukraine has once again been exposed on massive land corruption in Harare.
Sharpe was on Sunday allegedly named as the biggest land baron in the country. This came to light during a presentation on corruption recently held by MDC Vice President Tendai Biti where he was unpacking the “Pandemic of Corruption Whither Zimbabwe”.

“The biggest land baron as far as land corruption is concerned is a man called Kenneth Raydon Sharpe who operates through Augur Investments. He excels through dubious agreements.
Especially the one with City of Harare on the construction of Harare Airport Road and the development called Sunshine in respect of which he undertook to provide development capital but he failed yet he got land.
“Thousands and thousands of hectors have been extracted which are now being sold to unsuspecting members of the public,” he said.
Sharpe is facing multiple court cases, where he has been expected to appear before the courts of law facing charges of serious land corruption, working in cahoots with authorities.
